Get your buddies together for this 3 week boys basketball camp. Camp will be held at the Ellen Hopkins Elementary School gym, but students at any school are welcome to attend. Grades 3-6 students will learn correct running mechanics, hurdling, softball throwing, high jump and the long jump. Events will be coached by current and former high school coaches along with current Moorhead Spud track and field athletes. The first four sessions will be practices, and the last session will be a track meet. Grades 3-6 participants will compete in the 70-meter hurdles, 100-meter dash, 400-meter dash, softball throw, long jump, high jump and 200-meter dash. Each day, you will get materials to design and build a ski jump, a Rube Goldberg machine, a pinball machine, LEGO machines and more. You will get to work with other students to design, build, re-work and share your creations just like real engineers! </p><p>This program is designed for immigrant and BIPOC youth.
