  • Knitting a Little Felted Bag

    Prerequisite: Knit, purl and bind off skillsIn this class you will knit a small bag, which will then be felted. This cute bag is called “Eske,” which means “box” in Norwegian as that is what the bottom is shaped like. While knitting this little bag you will learn how to pick up stitches, knit in the round, utilize decreases, bind off some stitches while leaving others “live,” and do the Kitchener stitch. Materials needed are 350 yards of worsted weight wool (not superwash), 10.5 24" circular needle, four stitch markers (one of them a different color), three stitch holders and a tapestry needle. Any supplies you need may be purchased at the first class. Fee includes pattern.
