Seeing Things Differently: Two Part Sketching Series

Course 1: The Short Course in Sketching covers the basics of contour drawing, basic forms, and value shading. Discover how easy it is to sketch using observational skills and basic techniques. Bring a sketchbook, at least 8.5"x11", a No. 2 (HB) pencil, a 6B drawing pencil, pencil sharpener and eraser. No art experience necessary. Instructor has 40 years of teaching experience.
Course 2: Expanding Your Sketching Skills includes practice with contour drawing, basic forms, and value shading to understand the use of lights and darks to create contrast. Gesture drawing, understanding angles, and learning how to draw faces will be taught. Bring a sketchbook, at least 8.5"x11", a No. 2 (HB) pencil, a 6B drawing pencil, pencil sharpener and eraser.
