Learn oil painting techniques to create a fall landscape painting and the different mediums used and how to use a variety of paint brushes. We will prepare the canvas with an undercoat using black, grey, and white gesso. Then we will focus on the sky, clouds, and background. Next you will learn techniques for painting birch trees, leaves, and branches. Finally, we will work on adding all the details to create a finished product. These are wet on wet techniques and your paintings will take time to dry depending on the colors used.
