Sue Hitzmann, creator of the MELT Method, asks, "Why is the current fitness model creating so much injury, dysfunction and chronic joint pain?" MELT neurostrength is a system to maintain pelvic and shoulder girdle balance, integrity and stability during movement. The goal of reintegrating is to reacquire the neurological pathways of the deep stabilizing mechanisms for appropriate muscle timing. The goal of repatterning is to restore more efficient motion. The more stable the body is, the more coordinated the movement is, and the risk of injury to the shoulder, hip, knee, neck and low back is significantly reduced. A MELT resistance band and MELT soft body roller will be used for this class. Some MELT experience is required to attend this class. Bring an exercise mat and water bottle.
