Calligraphy is the age-old art of beautiful writing. This basic class will focus on the comprehensive study of the 26 elegant Uncial letterforms. Calligraphy classes offer you a chance to relax, have fun, and learn a time-honored skill; they also increase your hand-eye coordination, patience, and aesthetic awareness. This concentration will slow you down, and let creativity in. Lessons will comprise a theory section, forms, practice, review, and a project. There is a weekly homework component because calligraphy needs practice.
Materials needed: pencil, eraser, ruler or T-square, notebook, file folder, reading glasses (if needed), calligraphy marker 2.5mm or a parallel pen 2.4mm. Contact Anne for more info or purchase suggestions.
