  • *NEW Needle Felting

    We use wool roving and a special felting needles to mold and sculpt cute little animals and shapes by layering and locking in colorful fibers. We will learn how to use basic techniques that can be used to make more complex sculptures as you become more familiar with how to work with the fibers. This class is open to adults and teens. The materials can be purchased at the class.
  • *New Introduction to Silversmithing

    Do you like wearing silver jewelry? This class covers the tools and skills necessary to fabricate simple silver jewelry pieces. Students will gain hands-on experience using a torch, saw, hammer and pliers. Students will make two simple sterling rings to keep. All tools provided. Fee includes materials.
  • Sewn Book Binding

    In this class, expand on the fundamentals of making books using a variety of materials and techniques. The anatomy of a book is fascinating. The cover, spine, folios, signatures, and more are all waiting for your heart and hands. Folding, gluing and stitching goes a long way. You will learn about book architecture, bookbinding tools, and terminology. We will make a variety of simple folds and stitches that will help you to make wonderful gifts, sketchbooks, journals, photo albums, and more. The only skills required are a love of paper, attention to detail, patience, and a need to share the fun. This workshop is designed for students with little to some bookbinding experience. A basic supply kit is included for this class. Extra decorative paper will be available to purchase if needed.
  • Wonderfully Warm Mittens

    These mittens use the technique of double knitting and are so wonderfully warm. Supplies needed are two skeins (220 yards each) of the same color of worsted weight wool, superwash wool, or wool/acrylic combination in a color that is not dark blue or black. You also will need a size 4 or 5 needle for the cuff and size 6 for the mittens; you can use straights or 24-inch circular needles. Other supplies needed are stitch markers, waste yarn or stitch holders and a darning needle. Any supplies you don’t have may be purchased that evening. Fee includes pattern.
