  • *NEW Introduction to Ultimate Frisbee

    Looking for an exciting way to burn energy and simultaneously play one of the most fun, rapidly growing team sports in the world? You should try Ultimate Frisbee! This entry-level event for grades 7-8 students requires no previous experience and is designed to introduce the ins and outs of Ultimate. Activities include games built around getting comfortable with the disc, making passes and above all teamwork and the sprit of the game – a key Ultimate philosophy. We also will have drills to help teach new throws, catches and strategies. This is a perfect introduction for students interested in playing more in high school and college and those who just want to have fun.
  • ACT Prep Course

    In this five-hour ZAPS test-prep seminar, students will learn tips for improvement in all subtests. They will practice strategies to eliminate wrong answer choices; take shortened practice tests that mirror the actual testing experience; prepare to write a well-organized, persuasive essay; reduce test anxiety and gain confidence; and receive a comprehensive study guide and practice-test workouts for each subtest.

    It has been your dream to make a video game of your own, but where do you begin? We'll show you how! In this class, you'll learn the building blocks of game design by creating your very own role-playing game. Awesome heroes? You bet! Sinister monsters? Absolutely! Programming epic quests taking you across the world you made? Hiding treasures in dungeons you build with puzzles you’ve coded? Crafting your own items to heal yourself and dish out damage to the bad guys? You got it! We'll show you how. In this class, we will guide students in creating their own maps, their heroes, their enemies, their special moves, their story, their quest, and much more. No previous experience is required. Best of all, you get to take your game home when you’re done to show off to your family and friends.
