Artistic Hour
Do you love art in all forms? Do you enjoy a multitude of artistic utensils? John David sure does- and he wants to bring forth your creativity in an inviting space to learn about different methods of art, and allow you to spread your wings and create. -
Electrify Your World (1st - 4th Graders)
We are surrounded by electronic gadgets and toys. How do they work? Create circuits and explore electronics with squishy dough, motors, buzzers and lights. Create your own creature and bring it to life with electric circuits. -
Elementary Track Camp (3-6th Grade)
The Moorhead Track Club is an opportunity for elementary students to learn the fundamentals of track and field. Grades 3-6 students will learn correct running mechanics, hurdling, softball throwing, high jump and the long jump. Our events will be coached by current and former high school coaches along with current Moorhead Spud track and field athletes. Our first four sessions will be practices, and our last session will be an actual track meet. Grades 3-6 participants will compete in the 70-meter hurdles, 100-meter dash, 400-meter dash, softball throw, long jump, high jump and 200-meter dash. All registered participants will receive a Moorhead Track Club t-shirt. Location Schedule - Practices will take place at Horizon Middle School Practices Days: Grades 3-6: SESSION C - May 1, 3, 8, 10 (7:15 - 8:45pm) SESSION D - May 2, 4, 9, 11 (7:15 - 8:45pm) Track Meet will take place at Moorhead High Track Meet: May 14th 3:00 - 6:00pm for 3-6 Grades Registration deadline is April 1, 2023. -

Hopkins Suessical Kids Play
Ellen Hopkins Elementary is offering the opportunity for students to dip their toes in the world of musical theatre. Open to 3rd and 4th grade students who attend Ellen Hopkins elementary, the musical will allow your students to explore their interests and work on their skills to become a performer through singing, acting, and dancing. If your student prefers behind the scenes, they have the option of joining the tech/crew team where they learn how a show comes together through set design, lighting, and sound engineering. Join the cast and crew this year as we explore the wonderful world of truffula trees, who-ville, and a cat in a hat; Hopkins 2023 Musical: Suessical. -
Intro to Game Design
If you like playing video games, you’ll love designing them! Trained instructors will teach students how to program their own video games using an engaging program called Kodu. They will create their own world, populate it with characters, and then play the games they create during class. Students will learn important programming skills while having tons of fun, with no prior experience needed! -
Urban Livestock- More Than Just a Pet
Learn about animals that give back to people. Bees, goats, chickens and rabbits are more than pets. They provide food and products to people. Complete hands-on activities that you can take home each day. Clay County 4-H and Community Education team up to provide a space for kids to connect with other kids, create, learn and play. -
eSports - Competitive Video Games
ESports, short for electronic sports, is a collective term that describes organized competitive video gaming where individuals use video game consoles, PC’s or mobile phones to play popular video game titles against other eSports teams. Join us for our third season to take on schools around the country, collaborate with you teammates, and have fun.
