  • *NEW Intro to Digital Art (Grades 3-8)

    This immersive three-day program combines hands-on learning with engaging digital tools, offering a dynamic journey into digital art. Students will explore the fundamentals of digital drawing and apply what they learn to an exciting real world application. Through a partnership with No Grit No Pearl, students will be able to get their favorite design printed on a canvas or t-shirt which will get shipped to their house after the camp.
  • Kids Jiu-Jitsu (Ages 8+)

    Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art that focuses on grappling and ground techniques. Jiu-Jitsu teaches discipline, respect, cooperation, and confidence. Students work on improving balance, motor control, and the ability to control larger opponents while having fun and training in a safe environment.
  • Intro to Stained Glass - Night Sky Beetle

    In this beginners class you will learn how to copper foil, solder, and finish a stained glass beetle. All supplies and safety equipment provided.
  • Kung Fu Kids (Ages 8-12)

    Students will learn basic martial art skills while making new friends and having fun. By the end of the course students will have a basic understanding of what self-defense martial arts is all about.
  • Rock Painting

    FargoMoorhead Rocks is a local offshoot of the Kindness Rocks project, which aims to spread positivity and art to strangers through painted rocks. Become a part of this global movement during a 90-minute session as long-time rock painter Em Christie guides you through rock painting and hiding basics. Participants will be able to paint and take home up to five rocks. If there are any rocks left behind at the end of the class, FargoMoorhead Rocks volunteers will label, seal and send the rocks into our community. Please wear clothes you are comfortable getting paint on.
  • Boys Soccer Summer League (Grades 6-12)

    Join us for a weekly practice and 11v11 games for grades 6-12 male soccer players looking to sharpen up for the fall soccer season. The summer league will be run by MHS boys' soccer coaching staff.
  • Intro to Game Design (Grades 3-8)

    If you like playing video games, you’ll love designing them. Trained instructors will teach students how to program their own video games using an engaging program called Kodu. They will create their own world, populate it with characters, and then play the games they create during class. Students will learn important programming skills while having tons of fun, with no prior experience needed.

    Dance Team Skills and Technique (Grades 7-12)

    Dancers will focus on building and improving their technique, strength, and flexibility to execute basic and advanced turns, leaps, acro skills, and kicks. All dancers in grades 7-12 who are committed to competing for the Moorhead Highlights Dance Team; dancers who are interested in trying out for the team in the future; or dancers who just want to improve their skills are eligible. All sessions will be coached by the varsity MDT coaches. Dancers should wear athletic clothing (i.e shorts, leggings, tank tops) with their hair secured in a bun. Dancers should also have tennis shoes and jazz shoes.
  • *NEW Battle Drones (Grades 3-8)

    Battle Drones features an exciting combination of aerial acrobatics with an engineering design challenge that will teach students STEM concepts, teamwork and how to skillfully fly a drone. In Battle Drones, teams of students will build robotic launchers designed to fling projectiles at their opponents’ drones. Students will be guided by experienced camp instructors in how to construct their launchers to maximize projectile speed and accuracy. The camp will culminate in an epic battle where students will need to pilot their drones to safety by dodging opponent projectiles while using their own launchers to take down opponent drones. The best drone pilots and launchers will emerge victorious.
  • Horizon Theatre Camp - Disney's Frozen (Completed 5th-8th Grade)

    Join us for an adventure in musical theater as we produce Disney's Frozen Jr! Students completing grades 5-8 are welcome to participate. Students will study acting, dance, voice and more. Everyone will be cast as a singer, dancer and actor. Camp will take place at Horizon Middle School PAC. Tryouts will take place on May 13th & 14th. Production dates will be June 12th & 13th.
  • Classroom Drivers Education

    Moorhead Area Public Schools’ Driver Education classroom program is open to high school students age 15 or older living in the Moorhead School District. Register through the Community Education office, 2777 34th St. S., 218-284-3400. Information sheets and registration forms also can be picked up at the Moorhead High activities office. Financial aid is not available through the district. This 30-hour class prepares students for their instructional permit. Steps for people under 18 years of age to get a Minnesota driver's license: 1. Complete mandatory 30 hours of scheduled classroom instruction. Students cannot be absent or tardy when attending this course. A 90-minute parent component will be scheduled for this class in compliance with Minnesota law. If the parent class is taken then the practice driving hours are reduced from 50 hours to 40. 2. Register for behind-the-wheel training, with a private vendor and receive the blue card. The blue card is issued by the vendor providing the behind-the-wheel instruction and is required to take the state permit test. 3. Take and pass the state permit test. Students registering for the permit test must provide: one primary ID, one secondary ID and the blue card. Primary ID options: state issued ID, current passport or state certified birth certificate. Secondary ID options: Social Security card, student ID with picture and ID number, or certified school transcript. Upon passing the permit test, making payment, and parent/guardian signature, students receive their permit. 4. Complete behind-the-wheel training. Students must have a permit before they can start behind-the-wheel instruction. 5. Complete the six-month practice period. Minnesota law now requires drivers to have a permit for six months before taking the road test. Every driver under the age of 18 who completes behind-the-wheel instruction and is testing for a provisional driver’s license must submit a driving log. 6. Pass road test. To take the road test, students must be 16 years old and have had their permit for six months. Drive on provisional license until qualifications for full license are met. You must complete all 30 hours of scheduled class to be able to get your permit. If the 30 hours are not completed you will have to register and pay full price for the class again. No absences or tardies allowed. Please note location at registration. Students must attend all 30 hours in person.

Brady is certified in First Aid and CPR and can accommodate those with special needs and limited mobility, so don't let anything hold you back from this incredible experience! This trip is all-inclusive and you will be using professional grade gear; Bring something to drink and a snack. You must also purchase a Minnesota fishing license prior to the trip.

The summer will conclude with a USA Weightlifting sanctioned competition.

  • Eureka Engineering (Grades 3-8)

    An introduction to the core skills of robotics and STEM through engaging, hands-on learning opportunities. Student groups will work with Lego Mindstorm kits, which include both electrical and mechanical components. The small groups will be mentored by experienced and passionate instructors. Parents are welcome to watch their child’s robotic creations come to life in exciting and competitive challenges including drag racing, fighting robots and more.
